Lingerie
This idea is based on a 1950's-style "Corselette", with suspenders attached. The main fabric is super-clingy swimsuiting, with a central panel of decorative stretch lace.
This silk kimono-style dressing-gown is edged with satin binding and decorated with ornate textural effects. These range from applique, beading and cutouts to the japanese technique of shibori.
Shibori is best known for its use in tie-dying fabrics, however here it is used to create shapes and folds in pieces of silk which are then stitched, gathered or tied before steaming to set the shapes which result.
