This client wanted a made-to-measure, black flounced skirt with a built-in silvery petticoat lining.

I developed a simple design using braids, ribbon and netting to embellish the panels and achieve the desired effect.

This was a college textiles student's final project, and required a pattern to be developed for an all-in-one jumpsuit with an integral burka-style headscarf.  I developed the pattern and assisted with the construction of the garment.

This client had a short-sleeved satin top and lined chiffon trousers which she wanted to be customised into a co-ordinated outfit.
Firstly, sleeves were designed and added to the garment.  We chose polka-dot netting, and I cut away some of the existing sleeves before fitting on the wide, gathered additions.  Matching satin bias was used at the wrist to cover the elastication.

The original satin sash belt from the top provided enough fabric not only to make belt loops, but also to decorate the edges of the trouser legs, adding weight and structure to the otherwise very floaty material.  An extra decorative touch was added in the form of a narrow band of the sleeve material applied to the centre of the satin "turnup".

It was enjoyable to work on such a unique project, and highly satisfying to produce a successful, co-ordinated result.

As in the project above, the client here had 2 garments which she wanted combining in various ways.

A Plain v-necked jumper was to be customised using various parts of a well-matched shirt.  The collar and front fastening button-stand were applied to the jumper along with floaty cuffs, a slim horizontal ruffle at the hip, and an extra "shirt-tail" on the bottom hem to add some length.
