Stitched Up Sewing
Stitched Up offers a range of sewing services for the creation, alteration, repair or recycling of clothing and soft furnishings. I have over 12 years’ practical experience of sewing for friends, family and business customers, and have completed numerous practical courses to develop my skills.
I feel it can be just as satisfying to repair a much-loved item and save it from being thrown out, as it is to create a new, one-off item for a specific customer. The sense of achievement when producing something new or bespoke goes without saying, but it is also highly gratifying to resurrect an item, either applying the proverbial "stitch in time" or amending and converting it into something new. I like to combine the two approaches, so that the occasional purchase of something new is balanced out by the repair or recycling of many things old.
